Ephesians 3:16-18

I pray that from His glorious, unlimited resources He will empower you with inner strength through His Spirit. Then Christ will make His home in your
hearts as you trust in Him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong. And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is (Ephesians 3:16-18).

REST

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls" (Matthew 11:28-29).

Although I am getting no sleep tonight, I feel oddly at rest.  Wednesday night I received some much needed medicine.  The medicine of laughter! It is true the Lord has not yet blessed my husband and I with children of our own, but while we wait for our own we are blessed to have many children in our lives.  I am thankful to view children as joys and not burdens.  I am thankful for the many children in our lives who can make us laugh until we cry.  I am thankful to have a job in a clinic where children who sometimes can't confide in their parents will confide in me and others I work with.
I am thankful for a life of a child that was spared!

I am thankful for a joyful faced little girl!
I am thankful for the love given by three young children!

I am thankful for a niece and nephew!
I am thankful for a baby who has the sweetest laugh!
My husband and I were able to relax with one another last night.  We reflected on the day for a while, but mostly we just lounged.  I am thankful for a husband who listens to me, holds me when I cry, and laughs with me when I am laughing.   I am thankful for my younger sisters and brother who I have always thought of as partly my own children, because I am much older.  I have many things I am thankful for, but children were on my heart! I am thankful for a day of rest! I used to become upset when I would have extremes in my days, some high days and then such low days. I am learning to be extra thankful for the days of rest.

Father,
Thank you for the days of rest!

I am so thankful that Alan and I have you and your girls! I can get no physical rest and the second I see these little faces I pep up a little. Even when my heart is fighting for the opposite of joy. I really cannot tell you the last time I laughed so hard. You know me, I have a small sense of humor. I guess only children make me laugh. I must be on a child's level when it comes to jokes. Grown up jokes...Not so much! Some do, but I mostly laugh at the kiddos! Love Love you and thank you for following this blog!
