Ephesians 3:16-18

I pray that from His glorious, unlimited resources He will empower you with inner strength through His Spirit. Then Christ will make His home in your
hearts as you trust in Him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong. And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is (Ephesians 3:16-18).

Red Pepper is NOT My Friend!

This week makes 8 weeks on the AIP diet.  This is the point where I am allowed to add things back in. Our vacation set me back a little, so now I am going to wait at least another two weeks to reintroduce foods.  Yesterday, I accidentally ate something with red pepper in it.  I knew it looked like red pepper flakes, but trusted it wasn't.  Well…. My lips are hurting today!  They started hurting last night which tells me the red pepper hates me!  I have this strong feeling that night shades will not be a part of my diet for a very long time!  SAD!!!!  I love nightshades!

On a happier note, the beach trip was great!  I enjoyed spending time with all the family, but Hannah and I spent tons of time together! It was nice to hang out with my baby sis!  Alan gave me a huge break and took over with Landry. He tended to her the entire trip.  It was nice to have a break from diaper duty!  I just got to love on her and be fun mom!

Landry learned how to do a flip! She rolled all the way over by herself!  She isn't a baby anymore!!!!!!

This is one of my favorite pictures from the whole trip

Sauceless Spaghetti!

I CANNOT BELIEVE IT!  I have missed the ease and consistency of spaghetti for so long and now I can enjoy something similar once again!  We came home from our Florida trip and I was hungry!  I wasn't quiet "hangry" like my sister got on our trip, but I was on the verge!  I had nothing in the house to eat so my only option was to throw something together.  My go to recipe used to be good ole spaghetti, but that was before the AIP days!  I thawed out bacon and hamburger meat just to see which would thaw the fastest.  The plan was to use the meat that would be the quickest!  They were both thawed at about the same time.  I baked the bacon.  I had a spaghetti squash I wanted to use so I threw it in the microwave.  Ten minutes and done!  I decided I would brown some onion and garlic with the hamburger meat.  Then this recipe just came together!  I have tasted "no-mato" sauces and I just can't eat them.  I don't like beets enough.  I want to love them and maybe one day I will, but for now there is no love.  I thought my days of eating anything that resembled spaghetti was over!  I do miss me some tomatoes, but this was good!  In the words of Mickey Mouse and Rach it was easy peasy lemon squeezy!

Here is where I found the microwaved spaghetti squash recipe!  Here is where I found the baked bacon recipe!
