Ephesians 3:16-18

I pray that from His glorious, unlimited resources He will empower you with inner strength through His Spirit. Then Christ will make His home in your
hearts as you trust in Him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong. And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is (Ephesians 3:16-18).

I Cry Out

"Save me, God, for the water has risen to my neck. I have sunk in deep mud, and there is no footing; I have come into deep waters, and a flood sweeps over me. I am weary from my crying; my throat is parched" (Psalm 69:1-2).
"I cried out, “I am slipping!” but your unfailing love, O LORD, supported me. When doubts filled my mind, your comfort gave me renewed hope and cheer" (Psalm 94:18-19).

"But as for me—poor and in pain—let Your salvation protect me, God. I will praise God’s name with song and exalt Him with thanksgiving. That will please Yahweh more than an ox, more than a bull with horns and hooves. The humble will see it and rejoice. You who seek God, take heart! For the LORD listens to the needy and does not despise His own who are prisoners. Let heaven and earth praise Him, the seas and everything that moves in them, for God will save Zion and build up the cities of Judah. They will live there and possess it. The descendants of His servants will inherit it, and those who love His name will live in it" (Psalm 69: 29-36).

The condition of my heart changes with each moment.  One minute I am at  peace and the next I am at war.  I try to grasp for truth, but it is so difficult.  It seems out of my reach.  I want to rest in Him, but resting is so hard.  I want to accept His ways and let go of my selfishness.  I want to understand why pain and suffering are at times, part of His plan.  I believe Lord help my unbelief has been the cry of my heart today.  In the very moment I was questioning God's goodness a friend was sending this to me in a facebook message. There are no words to explain the gift this woman has been given.  She is a song writer, singer, and loves Christ.  She had no way of knowing that she was answering a cry of my heart as she sent these song lyrics.

You Call Me Yours

My head is spinning
Let the curtain fall on all these thoughts of mine
My heart is pleading
For a hush to come and silence all the lies

I kneel in sorrow
Before a Holy God who understands
In desperation
I am crying out for Your deliverance

Oh God
Restore what my failures have broken
Redeem all lesser things chosen
Remind me of what You have spoken
That You are unashamed to call me Yours

My strength is fading
And weakness pulls its cover over me
I’m barely breathing
The battle wounds have proven to be deep

But, Lord You’re sovereign
And you can see beyond this wilderness
So I surrender
Into Your arms I finally run for rest

You call me Yours
And find beauty in my brokenness
You call me Yours
Replacing filthy rags with righteousness
You call me Yours
You’ve satisfied my punishment
To call me Yours

I thank you for giving the ultimate sacrifice.  I pray my eyes stay focused on Jesus and what He did for us at the cross.
